Haaaaapppy Monday my lovelies! Are you ready to make this the best Monday ever? I always feel especially motivated on Mondays and like to set a positive intention for the week, one that makes me feel inspired and excited. This week that intention is to keep plugging away at making my business even more successful!

Last week was a big week for me! I launched my new eBook and was able to see it come to life! I had NO CLUE what I was doing when I first came up with the idea that I wanted to create an eBook. I stuck with it though (might be my stubborn personality) and figured out each step in the process and I ended up with something I am quite proud of. While it wasn’t easy I am glad I now have the experience and confidence to create a beautiful product!

While this isn’t a be-all end-all product I am excited to have paved the way for more eBooks to come in the future! Sometimes the process really is the destination.

#1 Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse

Have you tried this little trick before?! I hadn’t until this past week and I am obsessed now! Originally I wanted to use ACV to clarify my hair a little and get rid of some buildup that I might have but it made my hair so shiny and soft that I’m sold.

The best part? It’s super simple. Just take 1-2 tbs. of ACV (I put mine in a small container with a cap) and put in hair before shampooing. Rinse out after about a minute and continue on as usual!

My all time favorite brand of ACV is Bragg’s Organic. They always include the mother, the original culture, and can help with digestion woes.

#2 Cashew Butter

After eliminating cashews from my diet for quite some time, I was able to (successfully) reintroduce cashews back into my diet! Jumping for joy at this point in time because I was really feeling like I was missing out in life for a second there 😉

This brand is SO GOOD. It is insanely creamy and tastes fantastic. I have really enjoyed using cashew butter in my baked goods recipes (need some ideas? My Pumpkin Pie Spice Truffles and Cereal Protein Bars would both be FANTASTIC with cashew butter). I am also excited to have cashews back in my life so I can start experimenting with cashew cream (basically just soaked cashews + warm water) to add to beverages, curries, soups and stews!

#3 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I am sloooowly making my way back through the Harry Potter series (for like the 4th time!) and it just gets better every time! Reading the books as an adult feels much different than reading the books as a kid. More details seem to pop out and themes are much much noticeable! It is really enjoyable to be able to reread these books at an older age.

I have really wanted to focus more on reading since I loved it so much when I was younger. I thought it would be a nice replacement for mindlessly watching TV – turns out, it works pretty well! It’s nice to fall asleep after reading without any bright LED lights from the TV. And as a bonus “reward” I watch each movie after I finish the book (totally going against the LED lights, I know) to compare how the book and movies are so different!

Not sure about you but I always love Harry Potter around Christmas and wintertime, it just feels so right! I forgot how long the last few books are so I’m also pretty impressed with myself for reading an 800+ page book (high five to self!). Which really means I’m just prioritizing reading over other things (aka scrolling Instagram for the 100th time…)

#4 Primally Pure Cocoa Lip Balm

With the weather getting colder (and much drier!) in the PNW, my lips and skin usually get pretty dry this time of year. Primally Pure lip balm to the rescue! I love their products and have used their charcoal deodorant for over a year and have to say it is pretty life changing!

On my last order, I decided to try out a lip balm and am sure glad I did! With super clean ingredients like coconut oil, beeswax and coconut butter – you can feel really good about using the lip balm on your lips! It has an amazing white chocolate smell (from the cocoa butter) and makes my lips super soft and smooth!

I seriously don’t leave the house without it anymore and have yet to find another brand with such clean ingredients.

#5 Roasted Dandelion Root Tea

Totally thought I would hate dandelion tea but it is actually really good! To me, it almost tastes a bit like coffee and chocolate. Not a bad combo.

Traditionally used for digestive ailments, dandelion tea has a mild taste and is really soothing. This tea is great for improving digestion capabilities and for gently detoxing the body through the liver.

I have been drinking a lot more tea lately and don’t see the trend slowing down anytime soon! I am excited to test out different flavors throughout the season!

#6 Instant Pot Yankee Pot Roast by Nom Nom Paleo

Michelle of Nom Nom Paleo knocks it out of the park again with this amazing recipe!! As I’ve stated before, I LOVE my Instant Pot! Seriously, I use it every day and it is hands down the most useful kitchen appliance I own.

The fiance and I recently receive some high quality grass-fed steaks, roasts and ground beef from a friend and I am over the moon excited to use it! Michelle’s Instant Pot Yankee Pot Roast has been on my radar for a while and I finally had all the ingredients on hand over the weekend to make it! I love me a good and hearty pot roast and knew the porcini mushrooms and tomato paste would make this recipe a winner.

While this recipe does take about 2.5 hours start to finish, it is totally worth the long cook time so the beef roast gets extremely tender and falls right off the bone! As a total added bonus, I get to make broth from the beef bones!
